I think it is so fun to see what other people got for Christmas so I thought I would share what I got for Christmas. This post is not meant to brag or make anyone feel bad, just simply something fun to share on my blog! I would love to hear your favorite gift that you got for Christmas!
Charlotte Tilbury Blush in Love Glow – Charlotte Tilbury blushes are my current obsession (I now own 4!) This is probably the best blush formula that I have ever tried and one of the only blushes that does not fade from my oily skin. The shade Love Glow is such a perfect pink for a natural looking flush! My favorite color is still First Love but I think this is also a must-have.
Mason Pearson Popular Brush – OMG. If you have not tried a Mason Pearson brush you need to go buy one right now. Do not stop and look at the price, just go go go! $200 may seem like an insane price for a brush (ok, it is) but it is totally worth the money. I bought a travel-sized Mason Pearson brush years ago and I have used it every.single.day since then. It is great for wet hair, dry hair, tangled hair, etc. It also is supposed to distribute the oil in your hair more evenly so that you can go longer without washing your hair.
Sigma SigMagic Brush Shampoo – Sigma is my favorite brush brand so when I saw that they came out with a brush shampoo I had to try it. I have a few brush cleansers that I like but I have not found the perfect one. So far, I am absolutely loving this one! It does a great job and it is not super messy because of the pump applicator.
Travel Dresser Pouch – My mom bought me this travel pouch that keeps all of your products upright. This will be perfect for my face wash, hair oil, and other products that I am always worried will spill and leak everywhere. I also plan on using this at home because our bathroom counter space is limited and I could set my products in the sink with this!
Intuous Pro Touch Tablet – My husband picked this out for me and I had a mixed reaction. I was so excited because it was such a thoughtful gift but I am also hesitant to keep it. This tablet has a few functions but he bought it for me to use to edit my blog and Instagram photos. I have been having issues with carpal tunnel from constantly being on my phone (I currently edit my photos on my phone) so he thought I would enjoy editing my pictures on this tablet with a pen. Supposedly, this is what “real” photographers and artists use! My only hesitation is that I have my editing down to a science. I have found what works for me and I am hesitant to change it up. So, I will keep you updated as to whether or not I keep this sweet gift!
Pearl Rear Vision – OK, this is the gift that I am most excited about. I am a horrible driver (I got voted worst driver at one of my previous jobs). I am NOTORIOUS for backing into things!! So, my mom got me this backup camera for my car! This brand is supposedly created by former Apple executives and wow, this is going to be a super popular product. It is wireless so it is easy to install (we installed mine within 20 minutes) and solar-powered. You download an App on your phone to use as your camera. It also comes with a mount for on your dashboard or a magnet so that you can hook your phone up to your air conditioning vent! I plan on using the mounts to prop my phone up in my car all the time. Thanks Mom!
Hanging Planters – If you follow me on Snapchat (username: kateluvsmakeup) then you would know that my husband and I recently purchased a historic home built in the 1930s. It needed some work so it has been an adventure fixing it up. One of the things it desperately needed was landscaping. So, my sister bought me these adorable hanging planters for our front porch (our home has a front porch, eee!) They are so beautiful and simple and I think they will go perfectly with our newly painted gray and white house!
Rewined Candle – I got the flavor Rose and it smells AMAZING. These candles are made out of old wine bottles!
Lipstick Coffee Mug – I included this coffee mug in my recent blog post (Creative Holiday Gifts for the Makeup Addict). I think it is so adorable! I love collecting coffee mugs and using them to either drink my coffee or store makeup brushes! This one will be perfect for both.
Tea Pot – I have started drinking tea every night to help me go to sleep so my Mom bought me this adorable tea pot from Etsy (ours is in green).
Gucci Soho Disco Bag– This is my other favorite present (and it should be, because I bought it for myself). Ever since I saw Alexandrea Garza carry this purse, I knew I had to have it! However, I have held off on purchasing it because it is pricey and I do not “need” an expensive purse. However, I did some research online and saw quite a few message boards and bloggers that said this purse is being discontinued! I knew I HAD to buy it (plus, if it IS discontinued, it will probably increase in value if I ever wanted to sell it). At the last minute I decided to get the black purse (instead of the rose beige) and I am SO happy that I did. I am so in love with this purse. It fits so much, goes with every outfit, and is gorgeous without being an overly in-your-face-designer-bag. If this purse has been on your wish list, I highly recommend picking it up!
Kendra Scott Rayne Necklace in Navy Cat Eye – I love Kendra Scott jewelry. She is a local Austinite so her jewelry has been really popular in Austin for a while now. This is one of my favorite pieces (I own it in a different color too) and I find that it really goes with any outfit. I get so many compliments whenever I wear one of these necklaces.
Disclaimer by Renee Knight – My mom said that she got half way through this book and KNEW I would love it! I am reading it right now and will let yall know if it is good!
Kathy Griffin’s Celebrity Run-Ins – I have been obsessed with Kathy Griffin since high school. I think she is absolutely hilarious. I also love celebrity gossip. So, this is the perfect book for me and I cannot wait to read it!
I hope you enjoyed reading about what I got for Christmas! Let me know what your favorite Christmas present was!
