I have a fairly large makeup collection, so it is exciting for me when I completely use up a product. As we are in the process of moving, it is DEFINITELY time for me to write an empties blog post so that I do not bring trash with me to the new house (my husband might think I have lost my mind). Here are all of my recent makeup empties:
MAKEUP EMPTIES I HAVE ALREADY REPURCHASED:
Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer – I love this primer so much. It provides such a flawless base for my makeup and actually helps keep me matte. I just wish it wasn’t so pricey!
Benefit Porefessional – This primer (combined with my MAC mattifying primer) is the best combination I have found for my skin. They work so well together. This primer does a great job of blurring out my pores and providing a smooth base for my foundation.
Estee Lauder Double Wear – This has been my favorite foundation for years. However, I have not reached for it since I repurchased it. I find myself wearing foundations or BB creams that are not as full coverage. I still think this is a must-have in your collection if you have oily skin.
Urban Decay Naked Concealer – This has been my favorite concealer for the past year or so. I still love this concealer but I think I enjoy the Tarte Shape Tape more.
Benefit Hoola Bronzer – Y’all know this has been my favorite bronzer since high school. I still think it is perfection. You can use it to contour or warm up your skin.
NARS Laguna – This is another favorite bronzer. I absolutely love it for warming up my skin and the packaging is beautiful.
Benefit Gimme Brow – I really love this tinted brow gel. It is nice for days when you are too lazy to fill in your brows or for days when you want your brows to look really full.
Anastasia Brow Wiz – I have tried multiple other “dupes” and this is still my favorite brow pencil by far. ABH is the queen of brows!
Stila Sudge Stick Eye Liner in Lionfish – The color and formula of this eyeliner are perfection!
Lancome Cils Booster – This lash primer does wonders for my eyelashes. I use this on a daily basis before my mascara.
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara – My favorite high end mascara of all time. It provides so much length AND volume.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara x 3 – My favorite drugstore mascara of all time. It also provides so much length AND volume.
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray – I LOVE this setting spray. It helps prolong my makeup throughout the day and control my oil.
MAC Fix Plus – I LOVE this setting spray too. I use this spray everyday to make my makeup look less powdery. Then, I follow it up with the Urban Decay All Nighter or Skindinavia Oil Control Setting Spray.
MAKEUP EMPTIES I MIGHT REPURCHASE:
Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water – I assumed this product would be gimmicky, but I actually really enjoyed it. I like to mix it with my Smashbox Pore Minimizing Primer. Something about the combination works really well on my skin.
Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet Plus Foundation – I really enjoyed this foundation. It provided really nice coverage and kept me matte throughout the day. However, I have found other foundations (i.e. the Lancome Stick Foundation) that I reach for more often.
Anastasia Clear Brow Gel – Like I said before, ABH is the queen of brows. I really really enjoyed this product. I have not repurchased because I am hoping I can find a less expensive dupe.
MAC Gigablack Lash Mascara – This is my favorite mascara for my lower lashes. I have not repurchased because I am hoping I can find a less expensive dupe.
MAKEUP EMPTIES I DO NOT PLAN TO REPURCHASE:
Too Faced HangoveRx Face Primer – This is a total “YouTube made me buy it” purchase. I have very oily skin but I really enjoyed this primer on days when my skin was feeling particularly dry. However, I think this product functions more as a moisturizer than a primer, and I have other moisturizers that I prefer over this one.
MAC StudioFix Fluid Foundation – This is the foundation that I wore on my wedding day! It is perfect if you want something SUPER full-coverage and long-wearing. However, my preferences have changed and I no longer enjoy really full-coverage foundation.
MAC Eye Brow Pencil in Spiked – This brow product is ok. I still prefer the ABH Brow Wiz.
Dior Diorshow Lash Plumping Serum – I LOVED this product. However, the Lancome Cils Booster does the exact same thing and I prefer it’s smaller wand.
Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray – This setting spray is supposed to be for oil-control but I found that the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray did a much better job at controlling my oils.
I hope y’all enjoyed this!! Let me know if any of my makeup empties are your favorite products!
