First, let me start by saying that I absolutely love stick foundations. When I first heard about stick foundations, I thought it sounded absolutely disgusting. The thought of putting a stick of foundation on my face just grossed me out. Now, the Lancome Foundation Stick is one of my favorite foundations in my collection. So, I was thrilled when Hourglass came out with the Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick.
Here is what Sephora says about this product:
“A foundation and concealer in one, Vanish Foundation’s concentrated formula is infused with double the amount of pigment versus traditional foundations for instant full coverage in one application. The long-wearing, waterproof formula provides 12 hour coverage, and the innovative formula adjusts to your body temperature to effortlessly blend into the skin.”
PACKAGING: The packaging of this product is so sleek and sophisticated (typical for Hourglass). I am not a huge fan of the triangle shape of the product, but it really does not affect my application of the product. If you have not tried a stick foundation – you MUST try one. They are so much faster and more convenient than a regular foundation. (The only negative is that I tend to go through my foundation sticks MUCH quicker than my regular foundations).
PRODUCT: This product is very pigmented, so it gives you a nice medium-to-full coverage with just one layer. It is not near as full coverage as Estee Lauder Double Wear but it did completely even out my skin tone with just a tiny layer of product. It also feels surprisingly light on the skin, almost as if you have no makeup on. I have the Immaculate Liquid to Power Foundation by Hourglass and it is REALLY difficult to blend into the skin. This foundation blended out really easily. It is a natural, satin finish that I really really enjoy.
BOTTOM LINE: The biggest selling point for me is how lightweight the Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick feels on my skin. It does not feel like I am wearing any foundation at all. That is so important to me because of how hot it is down here in Texas. The natural finish is gorgeous, but I did have to blot my oily skin throughout the day. The biggest downside for me is the price. Especially because I go through foundation sticks so quickly. Overall, I think that you should absolutely try this product, especially for the Summer when no one wants the feel of heavy foundation on their skin! Have you tried the Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick?! I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
