I have a confession to make: I do not enjoy doing my hair. 99% of the time I shower at night and then let my hair air dry. I wake up in the morning and try to “deal with” whatever it ends up looking like. However, I have discovered a few amazing products that are perfect for those lazy days when I air dry my hair.
Bumble and Bumble Don’t Blow It (2 oz for $15, 5 oz for $31) – FINALLY a brand that focused on providing a hair product for those days when you do NOT want to heat style your hair. There are so many products out to use when heat styling your hair that I found it refreshing to see a product that was geared towards letting your hair air dry. You know how when you blow dry your hair it just looks better? It’s easier to style, less frizzy, has more volume, etc? Well, this product gives you those results WITHOUT having to blow-dry your hair. This is probably my favorite hair product that I own because I get the most use out of it.
Eva NYC Get Glossed Serum* (1.7 oz for $14.99) – This is a very recent discovery for me. I typically apply a hair oil to my hair when it is wet or I will apply it to my dry hair to tame some of the frizz. This product is really great. It’s inexpensive, it smells amazing, and is lightweight. This makes my hair feel soft without weighing it down.
Kerastase Resistance Fibre Architect (30ml for $43) – This is one of my favorite brands for hair products. A few years ago, I asked my hair stylist what ONE product from Kerastase she thought my hair needed the most – she recommended the Resistance Fibre Architect. According to the Kerastase website, this is a “reconstructive serum that repairs and delivers long-lasting style memory for damaged, split ends”. For me, it has been very important to apply a reparative serum even when I am not using heat products on my hair. The condition of my hair has improved significantly since I started using this product.
Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo* (1 oz for $10, 5.3 oz for $22) – Dry shampoo is God’s gift to the lazy girl. It is one of my favorite beauty inventions ever. The dry shampoo that I am currently obsessed with is this one from Amika. This product smells so good and leaves my hair looking and feeling clean. For those of you wondering, YES, it does have a slight white cast. My tip is to apply a little product at a time and use your fingers to shake through your hair (as opposed to brushing it out). I have dark brown/almost black hair and this method has worked for me. I love this product because it does not leave any chalky residue like most dry shampoos – my hair just looks fresh and clean.
What are your must-haves for those lazy hair days?!
