I recently received these “bronzer refills” from Jane Iredale. I heard Wayne Goss rave about this brand so I was excited to try these new products from their Summer 2016 “Good Glow Collection”. According to their website, Jane Iredale was the first line of makeup with skincare benefits! Jane Iredale was inspired to create this line after seeing others in the entertainment industry struggling with makeup products that had “ill effects” on their skin.
When I received these bronzers they immediately reminded me of the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks (which I LOVE). These products are referred to as “bronzers” but I use mine as highlighters, blushes, and eyeshadows. I absolutely love the versatility of each of these and the fact that you can use the product for so many different things. These retail for $44 each and can be stored in a Z Palette or you can order one of Jane Iredale’s gorgeous rose gold compacts for $18.00.
Rose Dawn – This makes a great blush, blush topper or eyeshadow. It is a very pretty pink color with a built-in highlight that sort of reminds me of Nars – Orgasm.
MoonGlow – I like wearing this as a highlight and as eyeshadows. Each shade in here is very wearable and they all work really well together.
Sunbeam – My favorite way to wear this is as a blush. It is a nice bronze color that looks gorgeous on my tan skin. I also really enjoy wearing this as an eyeshadow (the coppery-red color on the bottom is stunning).
Here are swatches of these products when you mix all of the shades in each compact together:
The only negative to me is that they seem pricey when you compare these products to the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks (which retail for $46 and include a compact). I would assume this price difference is due to the good-for-your-skin ingredients in the Jane Iredale line.
Overall, I think these are a great purchase for the Summer. These would be perfect for any summer vacation (they are multi-functional AND give you that glow!). Plus, they photograph beautifully 🙂
