In case you missed my earlier post, we are moving! Our new house is smaller, so we are hoping to make a lot of our current furniture work in our new home. However, we are buying ALL new furniture for our bedroom!
Our bedroom in our current house is MASSIVE. I mean, awkwardly massive. So, my husband and I bought a very large wooden bed set from a local Austin store (Four Hands Furniture). This set looks very masculine and strong, but it is perfect for our current bedroom. As the Master bedroom in our new home is much smaller, I wanted to find furniture that better fit our new space.
I told my husband that I wanted a slightly more delicate (some might call it feminine) room. Luckily, my husband is letting me pick everything! His only condition: no mirrored furniture. My first purchase was our new headboard. I have always wanted a tufted headboard and when I saw this one on Chronicles of Frivolity’s blog I knew I had to have it.
Next was bedding. On a recent trip to Key West, my husband and I stayed in a hotel that had the most comfortable bedding. It was white and fluffy and I wanted to take it home with me. So, we went to Pottery Barn and tested out all of their bedding. This bedding from Pottery Barn is the most comfortable bedding I have ever felt. My husband would not stop “petting” it as he carried it around the store. Awkward.
As my husband has already ruled out the mirrored tables I was coveting, I moved on to white bedside tables. My favorites so far are these from Magnolia Homes. If you watch the show Fixer Upper, this is the furniture line created by Chip and Joanna Gaines! It is sold at Nordstrom and I basically want everything. For the rest of the room, I want to find neutral curtains, like these from Target, and a few decorative pieces to go on the bedside tables.
I hope you enjoy this post about my bedroom inspiration. If you are interested in any of these products, just click on the product in the picture and it will take you directly to shop! I will post photos of the room once we have moved in and fully decorated. Thanks for reading!
