My husband and I just took a trip to Charleston, South Carolina for our wedding anniversary! I tried to pack “wisely” and discovered a ton of products that are great for travel. So, I thought it would be fun to share my beauty travel essentials.
One way to save space is to pack multi-taskers (beauty products that perform more than one “task”). I packed this primer because it also contains an SPF 50. It was the perfect product to wear alone as my sunscreen or as a base for my foundation. I also wore this tinted sunscreen everyday. It is super lightweight but provides light to medium coverage. It does not feel greasy but provides a ton of sun protection. It is an absolute travel must-have.
Another must-have product is this concealer. It is great for travel because of it’s small, convenient packaging and the fact that it can be used under your eyes and on your face to cover any imperfections. I would also recommend bringing a powder that can be used to set your under eye concealer and your foundation. For me, this Charlotte Tilbury powder does a great job of setting my makeup but is also an amazing touch-up powder.
I don’t know about you but my makeup brushes can sometimes take up more space than my actual makeup! One of my favorite brushes in my collection is this double-ended foundation and concealer brush. It is probably my favorite foundation brush at the moment, but it’s size makes it absolutely perfect for travel. Another travel essential, is my beauty blender (although lately I have been reaching for this drugstore alternative instead). You can use these beauty sponges for almost every step in your makeup process!
I am also loving these palettes from IT Cosmetics. They contain a blush, bronzer and highlight in one and the packaging makes them super travel friendly.
When I am on vacation, I want to look good but I also do not want to spend a ton of time on my makeup. One of my favorite “quick” makeup products is this cream eyeshadow stick (in the shade Copper). It is one of those shades that you can quickly apply all over your lid and somehow look like you have a complete eye look. I also love to wear tinted lip balms on vacation. They keep my lips hydrated and are really easy to apply on the go. My current favorite is this one from Fresh in the shade Rose.
I hope you enjoyed my travel beauty essentials! I am putting together a travel guide for Charleston so stay tuned for that! Are you going on any fun trips this year?
